I’m Anna and through all the people I’ve met in my life and work, I’ve learned that no one can be defined by a diagnosis, a role, or what has happened to them. A person’s story is always bigger than the difficulty that brought them to therapy.
Life transitions, the moments when we are called to redefine who we are, how we relate to others and where we belong, have always fascinated me, both personally and professionally.
Although psychology had been an interest of mine from an early age, my path toward becoming a psychologist was not a linear one. For more than 25 years, my professional journey has taken me across different fields, in Greece and internationally, working alongside people from diverse cultural backgrounds, professional environments and ways of life.
Systemic psychotherapy resonated deeply with me because it gave language to something I had been observing for years: we do not exist in isolation. Who we are is shaped, in part, by the relationships and systems we are part of. Our families, relationships, communities, workplaces and cultural contexts all influence how we think, feel, relate to others and make sense of our experiences.
Living and working abroad has further deepened my interest in identity, belonging, cultural adjustment and psychological resilience. Being immersed in different cultures and ways of life has profoundly influenced how I understand people, relationships and the transitions we navigate throughout our lives.
I believe that people often have far more strengths and resources than they recognize in themselves. Within a safe, collaborative, and trusting therapeutic relationship, there is an opportunity to explore experiences from new perspectives, develop a deeper understanding of ourselves and our relationships and discover new possibilities for change.
What I aim to offer is a space grounded in acceptance, respect, curiosity and genuine human connection, a space where you are not seen as a “problem to be solved,” but as a person with a unique story that deserves to be heard, understood, and explored.
The most meaningful changes in our lives don’t happen when we find all the answers. They happen when we find the courage to ask the right questions. Anna Karakerezi
