Individual, couples and family therapy focused on understanding yourself, strengthening relationships and navigating life’s challenges and transitions.
I’m Anna Karakerezi, a licensed Clinical Psychologist and Systemic Psychotherapist. For more than 25 years, my professional journey has centered around people, working with individuals, teams and organizations in Greece and internationally, often within diverse, multicultural and demanding environments. Over the years, these experiences have shaped my understanding of human relationships, communication, and how people navigate change, uncertainty, and the challenges life can bring.
My academic training in psychology, together with my clinical training and systemic approach to psychotherapy, allowed me to bring these experiences into my therapeutic work. Today, my practice brings together psychological theory, clinical knowledge and a systemic perspective, alongside a genuine curiosity about people, their stories, their relationships, the systems they are part of and the experiences that have shaped who they are.
I work with individuals, couples, families, and groups, offering a safe, collaborative and non-judgmental space where people can feel heard and understood, explore the experiences and relational patterns that may be affecting their lives and discover new ways of relating to themselves, to others and to the challenges and transitions they face.
A story shaped by relationships, experiences, loss, change, resilience and our need for connection.
Therapy is not a place where you come to “fix” yourself. It is a space where you can begin to understand yourself with greater acceptance and self-compassion. A space to recognize patterns that may once have helped or protected you but may now be limiting you. To look with greater compassion at the experiences that have shaped who you are and to discover new ways of relating to yourself, to others and to the world around you.
Anxiety, psychosomatic symptoms, low self-esteem, or persistent self-criticism can sometimes reflect the ways we have learned to cope and adapt. Together, we can explore these patterns and work toward developing a safer, more compassionate relationship with yourself.
Communication difficulties, recurring patterns, boundaries that become either too rigid or too blurred, conflict or emotional distance can all affect the way we relate to one another. Therapy can help us better understand what is happening within our relationships and explore new, healthier ways of connecting.
Loss, separation, parenthood, career changes, migration or other major life transitions can leave us feeling unsettled or unsure of our direction. Therapy offers a safe space to make sense of these changes and reconnect with a sense of meaning, stability, and direction.
A first online meeting, at no cost, where we can get to know each other, talk about what brings you to therapy and see whether working together feels like the right fit for you.
Together, we explore what brings you to therapy, identify your therapeutic goals and build a collaborative relationship grounded in safety, trust and consistency.
At your own pace, therapy becomes a space for deeper understanding, personal growth and meaningful change.
Every therapeutic journey is unique. There are no ready-made solutions or a single “right” path that works for everyone. There are, however, certain core values that guide the way we work together.
Change begins within a safe and trusting therapeutic relationship. Through respect, trust and genuine care, we create a space where you can express yourself openly, without fear of judgment and feel truly heard and understood.
None of us can be fully understood in isolation from our relationships, family, work, culture and life experiences. In therapy, we explore not only why difficulties arise but also how they develop and are maintained and what new possibilities for change may emerge.
Therapy is not about changing who you are. It is about developing greater awareness of yourself, your relationships and the choices available to you, so that the changes you make feel meaningful, sustainable and true to who you are.
Moving to a new country, adapting to a different culture and facing burnout felt overwhelming. Anna’s empathy and guidance helped me regain confidence and move forward with strength. I will always be grateful for her support.
Such a great listener whenever you need one. You think she’s solving your problems, but she’s actually guiding you to find the solution you already knew deep inside. I still don’t know how she does it.
Anna made me see things differently and from perspectives I hadn’t considered before.
Relationships aren’t challenged by our differences. They’re challenged when we lose the ability to meet each other within them. Anna Karakerezi
The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other, explore what has brought you to therapy, and discuss what you hope to gain from the process. Together, we'll consider how therapy can best support your needs and whether working together feels like the right fit.
Therapy sessions are typically held once a week. However, both the frequency and the overall length of therapy are tailored to your individual needs, therapeutic goals, and personal circumstances. Throughout the process, we will regularly review your progress together and adjust our work as your needs evolve.
At the moment, all sessions are conducted online, allowing me to work with individuals, couples, and families living in Greece or abroad.
You don't need to be in crisis to begin therapy. Sometimes people seek support because they're struggling, while other times, they're simply looking for a space to better understand themselves, their relationships, or an important transition in their lives. Therapy isn't only about addressing difficulties, it's also about fostering self-awareness, personal growth, and meaningful change.
